WHAT IS KOMBUCHA?
With a history spanning over 2,000 years, kombucha tea is regarded as the "Elixir of Life". Kombucha is a fermented drink with billions of probiotic living organisms that aid in digestion and immune support. Water, tea, sugar, and a culture called SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast) make kombucha. After steeping tea in boiling water and allowing it to cool, a SCOBY is added to the room temperature tea. This mixture then ferments in a warm room for 1-2 weeks.
